The Roadblocks on the Journey of Surrender
God extends invitations to us throughout our lives. When we say YES – it leads to deeper levels of intimacy with Him. But when we say NO, we miss out on knowing Him better and experiencing the life He offers us. So why do we say NO – either intentionally or unintentionally because of our lack of taking action?
Here are a few of the roadblocks that hinder us from surrendering:
Fear:
Fear of the unknown future, fear of losing something valuable, and fear of the cost associated with surrendering to God’s will can hinder the process of surrender.Lack of Trust:
A fundamental roadblock is a lack of trust in God’s intentions. Doubting whether God truly desires what is best for us can prevent us from fully surrendering to His will.Personal Desires:
Holding onto personal desires and attachments, such as relationships or ambitions, can create resistance to surrendering to God’s plans.Doubt:
Doubting God’s intentions and questioning whether He truly has our best interests at heart can undermine our willingness to surrender.
One of the most powerful truths that we can use to overcome these roadblocks is that GOD IS FOR US. He is not against us! See the many scriptures listed below!
