Why Manifesting Isn’t God’s Plan for You

Manifesting means making something happen. The New Age movement calls this the law of attraction, and it is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into your life. It says that thoughts are energy, and energy can attract similar energies to itself because the universe has an attractive magnetic pattern.

The law of attraction often uses meditation and mantras to achieve a goal. The word mantra originates from Hinduism and also means a mystical formula of invocation.

Invocation is an act of petitioning for help.

If you’re tempted to fall into this, ask yourself who you’re asking for help from.

Ultimately, there are only two sources of “help” to call on—God or the enemy. The two forces of power in this world are good and evil. There’s nothing in between.

Let’s dive deeper into this and discuss:

  • ✦ What is Manifesting?
Exploring the definition of manifesting and how it is perceived in New Age practices.

  • ✦ The Law of Attraction:
An explanation of the Law of Attraction and how it promises to bring desires into reality through focused thought and energy.

  • ✦ Dangers of Manifesting:
Discussing the spiritual risks associated with manifesting, including the potential to stray from God’s will and rely on self or other spirits.

  • ✦ Biblical Perspective:
Contrasting the principles of manifesting with biblical teachings, emphasizing God’s sovereignty and the importance of seeking His will.

  • ✦ Why Christians Should Be Cautious:
Encouraging listeners to trust in God’s plan and warning against the subtle deceptions that manifesting practices can involve.

There’s a ton of practical and actionable actions in this episode:

  • ✦ Seek God’s Will:
Always pray for God’s guidance and align your desires with His plans rather than attempting to manifest your own outcomes.

  • ✦ Trust in God’s Timing:

Understand that God knows what is best for you and trust that His timing is perfect, even if it means waiting.

  • ✦ Avoid New Age Practices:

Steer clear of practices that focus on self-power or the universe rather than God’s power and guidance.

  • ✦ Use Scripture as Your Guide:

Rely on biblical wisdom to navigate your life decisions instead of secular or New Age philosophies.
