How to Choose to Live from Faith Not Fear
Walking by faith really comes down to one simple choice… sometimes you just have to “do it afraid.” In moments where we choose to “do something afraid” – it seems like fear and faith are actually co-existing… but the reality is that faith will OVERCOME your fear as you take the step.
God never said that we have to feel brave to walk by faith. He never said that we had to be confident to be obedient.
Choose faith, and you’ll find that when you are following God and when you are obeying, He is with you in the middle of whatever happens. And he will empower you to live and obey and He will empower you to do the thing that He has asked you to do.
Sometimes we don’t see we don’t see the answer before we take the step. We don’t see the provision. We have to step out in faith before it comes. And that’s okay because we have a God who loves us. We have a God who will always provide for us.
We will always be taken care of, and we will always have what we need. So friend, I wanna encourage you in your walk with Jesus today. If you’re “standing on the edge of faith and fear” … choose the step of faith, and if you have to do it afraid… then do it afraid.
Scripture Used in This Episode
Joshua 3:13-17
13 And when the soles of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from flowing, and the waters coming down from above shall stand in one heap.”
14 So when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, 15 and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest), 16 the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho. 17 Now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all Israel was passing over on dry ground until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.
