Scripture From This Episode

Matthew 6:33 ESV

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

What are “all these things”? It’s what was mentioned earlier in the chapter! Food, drink, the clothes we put on… all of our needs. If we will seek God first – He will make sure that our needs are supplied.

Psalm 17:1-2 ESV

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,

eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
